Knitting two colors without floats

  • Knitting two colors without floats
  • Two colors Jacquard without floats back

Description

Single motifs can be placed in a desired part of the knit and integrated without floats going to the edges.

Instruction:

1

Carriages on the left side of the beds. Set up carriages as shown below.

2

Both tensions are on 0. Cast on about 30 needles on each bed and hang up weight.

3

Keep carriages settings for the next two rows. Increase both stitch lenght to 1 on the first row, to 2 on the second one.

4

Carriages on the right side. Change the setting for Cam Lever, from O (Stockinet) to S-J (Slip/Double Jacquard).

5

Open knitting file - Interactive knitting.

6

Synchronize the computer with the carriage.

7

Don't forget to fit the Driving Cam into place at the left end of the Ribber. When you move the carriage to the extreme left of the bed the Auto Set Lever is operated by the Driving cam.

8

Knit one row until the carriage reaches the Auto-Set Lever on the Ribber bed. For the next two rows Auto-Set is on 0

9

Change thread with contrasted one and knit two rows.

10

Because of the Auto-Set on 0, the contrasted yarn is knitted only on the main bed side, so it's not visible from the back side !

11

Keep on knitting.
